[ LEAD FACILITATOR ]

Leyla Parker

Leyla founded Homebound after ten years of chasing her own health from one specialist to the next, before finally understanding that food, movement and stress were never separate problems to begin with. She trained as a holistic health coach and yoga teacher so she could work with the whole picture instead of chasing one symptom at a time. These days she leads every retreat herself, pairing daily yoga with the kind of practical coaching that actually changes how people live once they're home.

Off the mat, she's usually first in the water, claiming that surfing really clears the head. Her approach comes down to fewer rigid rules and following trends, better long-term habits, and a lot more listening to your own body.

[ surf coach ]

Nila Kumara

Nila grew up surfing this stretch of coast and started teaching almost as soon as she could paddle out on her own. In the past eight years, she's coached everyone from total beginners to instructors training for their own certifications, and led surf coaching on retreats across Sri Lanka, Portugal and Morocco. She has a particular talent for making nervous beginners forget they're nervous, breaking every lesson down into small, manageable steps. A week that starts with “I’ve never done this” usually ends with someone paddling out alone, grinning the whole way back to shore.

Patient, precise and quick to laugh, she's as happy explaining wave patterns on the beach as she is fixing your pop-up mid-lesson. By the end of the week, you’ll be in love with Nila!
